You have the right at any time to withdraw consent that you have granted without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if said processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

C. Notes on individual processing operations

In order to assure fair and transparent processing, we also refer you to the following:

1. Server log files

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address and similar information.

In particular, this is processed for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring an error-free connection to the website,
  • Ensuring the smooth use of our website,
  • Ensuring the evaluation of system security and stability, and
  • for other administrative purposes.

We also reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are specific indications of illegal use.

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) Letter f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

We use technical service providers for the operation and maintenance of our website who act as our processors.

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. This is generally the case for data used to provide the website when the respective session has ended.

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the IP address and the cookie identifier, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. In addition, individual services may not be available or may be restricted.

2. Newsletter delivery

Your data is exclusively used for delivering the subscribed newsletter to you by e-mail, and, insofar as you have also consented hereto, for evaluating how you use the newsletter and, if appropriate, other content linked to the newsletter.

Your name is indicated in order to be able to address you personally in the newsletter and, if appropriate, to identify you, should you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject.

The legal basis for these processing operations in each case is your consent, Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter a) GDPR. We use a service provider, who acts as our processor, for delivery and, if appropriate, for analyses that are made. We process no data in third countries in this connection.

Data is processed in connection herewith only if the corresponding consent is given. This is deleted after this. You can revoke your consent by clicking once on the corresponding link at the end of each newsletter. For more information on this, please refer to the data subject rights.

Your personal data is made available voluntarily, and only on the basis of your consent. Unfortunately, we cannot send you our newsletter unless you have given your consent.

If you have given us your consent, we will evaluate your use of the newsletters sent and evaluate the subsequent visits to the Bayern Tourismus Marketing GmbH website, in order to further improve the newsletter and the website and to optimise it according to the actual interests of the visitors.

3. Cookies: Webanalyse & Statistik

You can delete individual cookies or the entire cookie collection. In addition, you will receive information and instructions on how to delete these cookies or block their storage in advance. Depending on your browser provider, you will find the necessary information under the following links:

3.1 Necessary Cookies

We use cookies to enable the basic functions that are necessary for the proper use of the website. The following data is stored and transmitted in the cookies:

  • Cookie settings

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) Letter f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in creating a user-friendly design for our website. Insofar as you allow the use of technically necessary cookies through your browser settings, the following cookies may be used on our website:

Cookiebot

  • Expiration date: 12 months
  • Details: This website uses Cookiebot, which sets a cookie that is necessary from a technical viewpoint to store your cookie consents. This cookie does not process any personal data. This cookie stores the consent you gave when you entered the website. If you wish to revoke these forms of consent, simply delete the cookie in your browser. When you re-access or reload the website, you will be asked again for your consent to cookies.

3.2 Unnecessary cookies (from a technical standpoint)

We also use cookies to better tailor the services offered on a website to the interests of visitors or to generally improve them on the basis of statistical evaluations. We use web analytics technologies from the following providers:

  • Matomo
  • Google Maps
  • Youtube

The legal basis for these processing operations in each case is your consent, Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter a) GDPR. Insofar as you allow the use of technically unnecessary cookies by browser setting or consent, the following cookies may be used on our website:

Matomo

If you have given your consent, this website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open source software for statistical analysis of visitor access. The provider of the Matomo software is InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand.

Matomo sets a cookie (a text file) on your terminal device, with which your browser can be recognised. If sub-pages of our website are accessed, the following information is stored:

  • the IP address of the user, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymised)
  • the sub-page accessed and the time of the call-up
  • the page from which the user reached our website (referrer)
  • which browser with which plug-ins, which operating system and which screen resolution is used
  • the length of stay on the website
  • the pages that are accessed from the sub-page that was retrieved

Matomo is used for the purpose of improving the quality of our website and its content. This enables us to find out how the website is used and to constantly optimise our offer.

By anonymising the IP address by six digits, we take into account the interest of the website visitor in the protection of their personal data. The data is not used to personally identify the user of the website and is not merged with other data. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not passed on to third parties.

Revocation of consent: You can revoke your consent to the storage and analysis of your data by Matomo at any time via the link below. A so-called opt-out cookie is then stored on your device, which is valid for two years. As a result, Matomo does not collect any session data. However, please note that the opt-out cookie will be deleted if you delete all cookies.
